Three-dimensional Magnetic field Induction Line physics Demonstrator

Purpose

The instrument is to demonstrate the existence of magnetic field of permanent magnet, magnetic field direction of each point in the magnetic fields, as well as space distributing conditions of magnetic induction lines. Its character is vivid and Intuitionistic visions and clear and complete dimensional effect.

Structure

This instrument can be used in two ways. It can demonstrate bar magnetic induction lines and horseshoe magnetic induction lines respectively by exchanging the riser and the permanent-magnet. The machine is connected by inserting upper and lower bracket plate and risers. Several small rotatable fingers are riveted on every piece of riser. A bar magnet and a horseshoe magnet are attached.

Theory

When you put a permanent magnet into the center of the riser, the small fingers are magnetized under the effect of magnet, the two ends of every finger form the South Pole and North Pole, and they will arrange the shape of three-dimensional magnetic induction lines.

2.Assembly of the Instrument

1.1   Assembly of Bar Magnetic Induction Line Demonstrator

1.1.1   As indication in Fig.1-1, take out the 8 pieces of the same-sized small risers, upper and lower bracket plates and bar magnet.

1.1.2    Firstly, put the three three-dimensional non-slip buckles on the elliptical ends of upper and lower bracket plates into the assembly holes and buckle tightly

1.1.3     Put the bar magnet into the groove of the risers, then assemble the rest five risers and buckle tightly.

1.2   Assembly of Horseshoe Magnetic Induction Line Demonstrator

1.2.1   As indication in Fig. 1-2, take out a piece of raised riser, two pieces of medium risers, five pieces of small risers, upper and lower bracket plates and horseshoe magnet.

1.2.2   Assemble the raised riser and 2 pieces of risers onto the upper and lower bracket plates and buckle tightly

1.2.3  Put the horseshoe magnet into the groove of raised riser, install the five pieces of small risers and buckle tightly

Experiment Method

2.1   Knock at the risers lightly to make the small fingers to be in a state of irregular arrangement

2.2   Install the bar or horseshoe magnet, the small fingers on each riser are magnetized to be small magnetic fingers; knock at the risers lightly, the small magnetic fingers will rotate under the effect of magnetic field and indicate the distributing situation of magnetic induction lines in the space.

2.3   Besides, you can get a small magnetic finger to close to the riser. It will explain the magnetic field direction of magnetic induction lines on the very point.

Maintenance

1.The instrument is in bulk when it’s taken out of the factory for convenient transportation; users can assemble it as indication in Fig.1 after you open the package.

2.This instrument is plastic, so please take care when you are using it and avoid breaking, dropping in case it’s damaged

3.After it’s used, you do not need to disassemble it; please put is in a dry and ventilated instrument cabinet without any corrosive gas, and never make it contacted with organic liquors

4.the small fingers cannot turn agilely after you put the permanent magnet in, it is mainly caused by rustiness of the rotor, so remove the rusts first before you use it. If the arranging condition of the small fingers is not favorable, it is maybe because magnetism of the permanent magnet has been weakened, so please change another permanent magnet with strong magnetism or magnetize the weak permanent magnet.
